Not many people realise that over 85 per cent of so called "Indian" restaurants in the UK are owned, run and staffed by people of Bangladeshi descent. The people of Bangladesh are renowned for their warm hospitality, and this grand tradition is reflected in their restaurants. During the Arts Worldwide Bangladesh Festival, top award winning restaurants demonstrate exactly what distinguishes the cuisine of Bangladesh from those of neighbouring countries, including exquisite fish and seafood curries and delicious dhal. Both traditional dishes and modern innovations are on offer, highlighting culinary excellence, authenticity and flair.
