Boats of Bangladesh

Family Day including Bengali Storytelling by Rez Kabir. A presentation of traditional Folk Tales about Bengali river fishermen and their boats from 12.00 - 4.00pm, and from 2.00 - 4.00 pm a special Shipmates workshop with the "All Hands" team on river crafts from Bangladesh.

Bengali Bites at The Barbican

A day packed with activities for families and children of all ages. From traditional miniature painting to Alpana floor painting and from traditional dance through to Filmi dance, these workshops give you the opportunity to experience a full range of Bengali arts and crafts. Plus pupils from Banga Bandhu primary school and Bangladeshi artists give their free performance of Kahini - the untold story.
